The 333 Classic Clear Intermediate (1.25 - 1.75 IPS) is a crystal clear intermediate line for stillwater anglers looking for stealthy presentation to finicky fish. These lines suspend below the water's surface to eliminiate wind drag that spooks fish. They're ideal for fishing swimming nymphs and small streamers above shallow weed beds and fishing ultra-clear spring-fed ponds and lakes.

First introduced in 1953 as the 333x, with the x meaning experimental, this line was the very first synthetic fly line ever produced.
